Best in Test
Centraal Beheer, FBTO and ING (AR)
With a Test rating of 8.2, the all-risk policies of Centraal Beheer, FBTO and ING came out Best in the Test. These contents insurance policies offer ample and good coverage for your belongings, including (mobile) electronics or valuables.
ING also has the advantage that in the event of covered damage, you will in most cases be reimbursed for the replacement value of your items for 10 years. With most other home contents policies (including those of Centraal Beheer and FBTO) you will receive the - lower - current value much faster.
On the other hand, ING's home insurance policies have a standard deductible of €100. At Centraal Beheer and FBTO you can choose between €0, €100 or €200. You must also have an ING current account to be able to take out (home contents) insurance there.

Affordable home insurance
The premium of a home insurance policy depends on many factors. We have therefore not currently issued a Best Buy designation for the policy with the best price-quality ratio. At the end of each year, however, the Geldgids makes a selection of contents insurance policies that are on average among the cheapest. Based on almost 24,000 profiles, this Geldgids selection will look like this at the end of 2022:
